F3 Fort Collins COVID-19 Updates

As many of you are aware, Larimer County (the county which includes Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, etc.) was recently granted variance to Colorado’s Safer-at-Home restrictions.  You can read more about these details here.  This is great news for those within Larimer County and its accompanying towns. With this in mind, a few variances deal exclusively with F3 Fort Collins and our continued impact within the community.  The following two sections will break these down:

  • “Allow for public gatherings of more than 10 people if participants can maintain 6 feet of distance from others at all times. Gatherings would still not exceed 50 people…”  We are now free to gather in groups of more than 10 people, which means in the event that we have more than 10 PAX, we are not required to split into separate groups, but can stay as one large group, provided that proper social distancing measures (i.e. distance of six feet or more) are maintained.  We’re going to continue to encourage this as we workout, including during times of CoT, Name-o-Rama, etc.
  • “In addition to takeout and curbside food and alcohol services, restaurants and bars would be allowed to resume limited in-person service….” The State of Colorado gave the approval for limited in-person seating for restaurants, however Larimer County was NOT given approval for Bars.  We are likewise free to maintain Coffeeteria/2nd F activities, but will need to be more cognizant of locations for HDHH/2nd F activities.  YHC would encourage Site Q’s and 2nd F Q’s to encourage PAX to gather (while being aware and adherent to current restrictions, and within their comfort zones), while also ensuring locations for 2nd F events can be selected to minimize disruption to current regulations.

There’s a great opportunity for F3 within our region to be a beacon of light and hope within Fort Collins and the surrounding areas, and we don’t want to miss this opportunity because we gathered too fast/too large/too soon.  We will abide by the current regulations/requirements of the county, while being cognizant of greater opportunities to make an impact within the Community.  Aye!
