PAX: Monsanto, Downhill, Topless, Chowda, Slow Pitch, Bunsen
YHC was rolling in hot due to poorly timed stop lights to find LOTS of cars. One can imagine how excited I was as Ol Dusty Trail was slated for the December 30-4-30. The TABADA course was set up while introductions were made, and the plan was laid bare for all to behold. Much joy was expressed for jump squats.
Apologies for the lack of warm-ups, as YHC wanted to get through everything and leave time for a full discussion! So, PAX were thrown directly into the fire! TBH, I think everyone was fine with that to keep the cold at bay!
25-minute timer, working through a repeating 0:40 work/0:20 recover routine. PAX started at different stations and rotated after each set. YHC had 5 stations planned, and when the PAX count came in at 6, the jump squats were added…the full list of movements were:
– Tower of Power: a personal fav. Merkin climb up two cinderblock where one merkin performed per hand movement up / down the coupon hole…8 count cycle.
– sumo deadlift w/ 60# sandbag
– WW3 sit ups: with coupon on your 6. press, sit up, shoulder press, back down.
– Overhead coupon hold w/ flutter kicks
– Squat Jumps
Four full cycles were made with everyone doing their station 1 5 times.
