Intro:

It’s slim-pickings these days to get new Qs with the temperatures dropping and the numbers taking a dip; in response YHC decided to step up for the second time in as many weeks to help lead the F3 Fort Collins #Mothership – Abduction.  After a 2-mile EC Ruck with Go Blue!, YHC made clear the mission, disclaimed the disclaimer, and away we went up the hill for…

The Thang:

The view at the top of the hill is fantastic, and allows all people far-and-wide to have a sweeping, breathtaking view of the Front Range.  Since YHC had been so impressed with this view last week when Ditka led, it was decided this is where The Thang would be held.  YHC opted to let Pick-up Line choose which beatdown we should select.  He selected “Beatdown Number One”3

  • 50 Merkins
  • 5 Burpees
  • 50 Squats
  • 5 Burpees
  • 50 Lunges
  • 5 Burpess
  • 50 American Hammers (each side)
  • 5 Burpees

Repeat Twice. We finished, circled back to finish with the six, then ran down the hill towards the roundabout at the park for some modified Duck-Duck-Goose4, as follows…

  • Everyone planks up around roundabout
  • First man, does 10 Merkins, then runs two laps around circle
  • After his first lap, he “taps” guy preceding him to start merkins
  • If tapped guy finishes 10 merkins before first guy gets back to start, running man owes a Burpee

  • Peanut Butter Ruck; September 23rd; 5:30 PM. While this is F3 Driven, we’re also inviting people within the community to come be a part of this event. Pack a backpack full of Peanut Butter (or just bring canned goods).  We’ll ruck 2 miles, drop off food, then ruck 2 miles back. Starting location is DC Oakes. Check Slack announcement for details. TClaps to Go Blue! for coordinating this as part of Hunger Action Month. Grab a beer after with us.
  • New AO launching – September 21st. Strength workout. 0530.  Trautman Park. You can get cinder blocks at Home Depot. Details in Slack.
  • QSource Virtuous Leadership Discussion, starting 09/16, after The Swanson. No need to purchase the book, although it does help. Details to go out the week before via Slack.
  • We need Qs! Put your name on the calendar even if you think there’s a possibility that you could Q. There are lots of resources to help; get in that VQ before 2020 ends!
  • Starting 09/19 – Abduction will return to 0700 start time. Email will be sent out by Ditka.
  • ECs are becoming more typical pre-workout.  Abduction has a 0530 (soon 0630) ED Ruck; great opportunity for Fellowship. Come join us, even if you don’t have a ruck.
  • #TAP for Gump who has a few interviews coming up for a management position.

YHC took us out with a prayer for the PAX and continued leadership in the community.
