The BackBlast:

Intro:

Several PAX rolling in hot while the Q warmed everyone up with a Capri Lap. Beautiful morning, not too cold, not too hot, but just right.

Warm-o-Rama:

SSH – 10 (IC)

Windmill – 10 (IC)

Moon gods – 10 (IC) each side

Chinook Squats – 10 (IC) 3 baby arm circles, followed by a squat

The Thang:

Mosey on over to the basketball court for The Memory Game. PAX circle up, everyone does SSH while waiting for their turn in the game. 1 PAX in the middle of the circle completes 3 reps of an exercise of their choice, then heads back to the circle. Next PAX in the middle, completes that 1 exercise, then adds one. New PAX completes those 2 exercises, then adds one. Adding continues until someone forgets. First round went way longer than anticipated – 5 rounds before the Q called Omaha.

PAX then completed a second round, however this time, no talking or counting or helping. PAX had to recall memory on their own. Due to time, Q called Omaha after 1-2 rounds.

Indian Giver Run: PAX run backwards (same loop as Capri Lap), however person in front is facing forward. PAX at the back has to run backward to the front, then they may face forward. First PAX then turns and runs backward also.

6MoM:

After complete exhaustion and calf tightness from all the SSH and running backward, PAX circled up for some Mary.

American Hammers – 20 (IC)

COT:

Gump’s brother-in-laws, brother-in-law going to Hospice today. Prayers for his wife and two children.

Excitebike still fighting off residual symptoms of COVID – prayers for healing and recovery

Naked Man Moleskin:

Lots of mumble chatter during Round 1 of the memory game. People trying to help each other out. The Q reminded PAX afterward of how this game can relate to our Mental Health Awareness Month. Can’t rely on yourself to complete such challenging mental tasks, but need one another to keep going. Stress can also cause you to forget what you’re memorizing, but calming your spirit can help remind you of what you’re working on.
