Intro:

It was a smoky morning in the Fort. Sunrise was beautiful despite the heavy haze over the city. Grass in the fields were soaked and ready for sloshin’. Forest fires were blazing away this morning, and so were the muscles of all who came out to play. The VQ started off with a bang and got everybody thinking the warm-o-rama was the Thang, until the Thang happened.

Warm-o-Rama:

Bat wings – 20 forward circles, hold 20 seconds, 20 backward circles, hold 20 seconds, 20 seal claps, hold 20 seconds, 20 overhead claps

20 Leg Swings

The Thang:

Welsh Dragon: 4 Bear Crawls, 1 Merkin, 1 Plank Jack, 1 Shoulder Tap; Rinse & Repeat, add 1 each time, up to 10

Aiken Legs: 20 Squats, 20 Box Jumps, 20 Lunges, 20 Split Jacks – Rinse & Repeat x5 (modified & most did 4 reps)

The Russell: Lay shoulder to shoulder, pass cinder blocks to PAX next to you, run 20 yards before block comes back to you. *This didn’t go as planned & was modified some to make it work. In the end, every PAX was soaked to the bone after working together to keep that crete movin’.

The Webbicide: Bear Crawl forward 5 yards, Crab Walk forward (back to start), Bear Crawl backward 10 yards, Crab Walk backward (back to start), Rinse & Repeat, adding 5 yards each time.

Naked Man Moleskin:

*Bat Wings burn like crazy, but hurts so good.

*Webbicide was definitely throwing some PAX for a loop, trying to remember when to go backward & when to go forward & when to just be done & plank for the 6.
