YHC decided a little fun was in order along with the work, raiding my kids toys to find the whiffle balls and bat for this beatdown. Time to see who amongst the PAX is a home run hero and who is the whiffle ball zero.
WARMUP:
– Mosey to the field
– SSH x15 IC
– String rippers x15 IC
– Copperhead squats x15 IC
– High knees to 1st base and back
– Butt kicks to 1st base and back
– Toy soldiers to 1st base
– Hillbilly run to home base
– Windmills x12 IC
– Chubby checkers, OYO
THE THANG:
PAX rotated thru positions of pitcher, batter, catcher, and dugout. Pitcher pitches, batter bats, catcher catches (while doing squats), and dugout does prescribed exercise while waiting (Al Gore, plank, Side plank, LSF, hillbillies).
After a hit, all PAX would run around the bases to the closest base to the hit, the do prescribed exercise, then finish rounding the bases to home, then rotate positions. We got thru 2 full rounds.
1st base: 10x Bonnie Blair’s or BBSU (alternate)
2nd base: 20x merkins or Freddie Mercurys (alternate)
3rd base: 30x squats or crunches (alternate)
If a PAX hit out of the infield and into the grass, this is a HR and he would mosey around the bases while all other PAX do burpees AMRAP.
*** Notable ***
Flo was the only batter to crush one out of the park with a HR.
Topless has a mean curve ball (striking out said home run king on his first attempt)
Scarecrow crushed a hit so hard the ball exploded into a million pieces
Disco drilled a hit right into Scarecrows family jewels, which was hilarious (for everyone but Scarecrow)
MARY:
– Scissor kicks until YHC says, straight to 6” leg hold, straight to LSF until YHC says, to 6” leg hold, to LSF, to 6” leg hold… and recover
– American hammers x20 IC
