This gloomy morning was one of the windiest in a very long time. The thermometer said it wasn’t very cold, but that wind had a bite to it. No worries! YHC had just what we needed to stay warm. After introductions and disclaimers, we proceeded to…
WARMUP:
Tin Man x 10IC
String Rippers x 10IC
Quad Stretch OYO, right leg then left leg.
Let’s get it on!
THE THANG:
We started with a mild jog along the usual route. The pace was lighter on purpose, as YHC wanted to be sure PAX weren’t gassed before we even started. The trails were open and we progressed up to and over the ridge. Once at the bottom of the ridge, we gathered for hill sprints. For reference, including the somewhat level lead up to the hill, PAX took ~ 20-40 seconds to get to the top and then a mosey back down for a round trip of 1:20-1:30. After each return, PAX held plank for increasing times: 0:30, 0:45, 1:00, and 1:30. Except for the 5th round. After a 10 count, we moseyed to the far end of the ridge. The last (6th) hill sprint was a jail break (or a mosey) – user’s choice. Once summiting, PAX were instructed to merkin for the 6.
Pax moseyed back over the top of the ridge, and returned to the AO.
MARY:
No Mary, and no good morning burpees, as nobody else was crazy enough to come out!
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Friday – Society of Ordinary Men meeting.
Tis the Season – EH challenge until the EOY!!!
COT:
Everyone has mountains and molehills to climb – goals they set for themselves. What happens then? You set a new goal! You create a new mountain to climb for yourself. Never stop achieving. It is OK to look back to see how far you’ve come, but don’t stop climbing!
Also, big time prayers for Pin Prick as he battles cancer.
Extend yourself to check in on friends you haven’t seen in a while. They’ll appreciate it!
