The BackBlast:

It was a misty mornin’ in the ol’ Fort. There was a slight fog in the air, the sun was a glowin’ orange, and the field was engulfed in mud. It was the perfect mornin’ for some PAX to get to work.

Tryin’ somethin’ new, the Q did a quick mosey to some painted lines in the parking lot for some Bone the Fish. In a single file line, PAX shuffled right down one line, ran ahead two lines, shuffled left across the lot to the next set of lines, ran ahead two lines, shuffled right, etc. etc. etc. Then do it again but backward back to the start.

After enough shuffling around we moseyed on over to the mud pit for some *Bat Wings.

The Thang:

The Q introduced a new routine for the PAX today, and it was a perfectly wet, muddy day for it. Did I mention the mud?

Tortoise & the Hare B.O.M.B.S.

Partner up. #1 grabs a cinder block/sand bag & starts walking across the field, while #2 completes said exercise. Once exercise is complete #2 runs to catch #1 & switches roles. Each PAX rinse & repeat 5x before moving on to the next exercise. Reps for each exercise also increase by 5 as you work your way through them. Due to the length of the field, PAX walked back/forth for the entire workout. **

B – 5 Burpees

O – 10 Outlaws

M – 15 Merkins

B – 20 BBS

S – 25 Squats

To everyone’s relief the Q called the first exercise to be Body Destroyers.*** After a few minutes of staring at the sky the Q called for some American Hammers to end the day.

Changing it up, the Q read from Philippians 4:6-7 to encourage PAX that we can’t & aren’t meant to do this life alone. It was a great reminder to not be anxious about anything in this life, but to seek the Lord at all times because He is the giver of inexplainable peace.

Naked Man Moleskin:

*Much mumble chatter about bat wings as this is most assuredly everyone’s beloved warm-up routine.

**With an odd number of PAX, the Q started off on his own, but then rotated into a pair. However, one PAX from this pair then began work on his own for a bit, then rotated into a different pair. Most PAX had some time on their own and rotated into a new pair at some point.

***Some newer PAX gave confused looks as to what body destroyers were, but were pleasantly surprised when everyone just laid down.
