The BackBlast:

Fast Times and YHC had been chatting about opening a second AO for a mid-week workout for a few weeks.  Since F3 Fort Collins seems to have a solid number of regular attendees, what better time?  So a site was picked out for a new AO (Unnamed for now) at Rolland Moore Park in Fort Collins; and when 0530 rolled around, YHC dispensed the disclaimer and #pleasantries with the attending PAX, and we moseyed round the parking lot for…

  • SSH x 20 (IC)
  • Imperial Walkers x 15 (IC)
  • Mtn. Climbers x 15 (IC)
  • Merkins x 15 (IC)
  • Monkey Humpers (#crowdPleaser) x 20 (IC)
  • Shoulder Taps x 15 (IC)
  • String Rippers x 15 (IC)

The Thang:

The Thang was broken into two parts…

Thang 1:

11’s – Bearcrawl the distance of a parking lot line, 10 Merkins, Crawlbear back to start, 1 Carolina Dry Dock; Bearcrawl the distance of a parking lot line, 9 Merkins, Crawlbear back to start, 2 Carolina Dry Docks; etc….

Thang 2:

20’s – Run the distance of the parking lot, 19 Squats, Run back, 1 Tuck Jump; Run the distance of the parking lot, 18 Squats, Run back, 2 Tuck Jumps, etc….

After this, YHC called for an Omaha, and as a matter of encouraging guys to lead (both outside of F3 and within), had Ditka call for 20 SSH (IC), Go Blue! call for 10 Merkins (IC), and Fast Times call for 15 Squats (IC); asking for three things they did right, and three things they did wrong.  Everyone got better from this, and the PAX demonstrated great courage when faced with unknown circumstances.  TClaps brothers, you guys did great.

After this, we circled back for our #donHenley (Dirty Laundry), then back to the #shovelFlag for

  • HipDips x 10 (IC)
  • Pickle Puhers x 15 (IC)
  • Cindy Crawfords (right and left) x 10 (IC)
  • American Hammers x 10 (IC)

  • QSchool coming up at the end of the month; YHC will specify a date and a location.

YHC took us out…

Naked Man Moleskin:

  • Leading is a challenge; it won’t be easy, and it shouldn’t be.  Yet, when called upon, the men of F3 Fort Collins stepped to the plate the best they could and led their exercises to the best of their ability.  It will get better with time men.  Remember – we’re called upon to lead during times of high stress and low visibility (like what we’re in right now).  Lean on one another, and we’ll make an #IMPACT, not only on each other, but the community around us.  Aye!
  • Googan – set your freaking alarm correctly…
