We had a great discussion this morning. Here’s when I posted to the channel and what we covered.
I have two questions for us to process and ponder. You do not need to have read the book/are reading the book/or plan on reading the book to be apart of the discussion. I’ll provide context at the work out.
1. There are multiple points where the book talks abut people either lacking conviction or paints the other side of the coin with those that go too far. When does “tolerance” become a mask for cowardice? When does conviction become prideful?
2. Most of the book covers the interaction between a fiery/devout catholic and a firm atheist. They challenge each other to a duel to “work out” their differences because they each are so profoundly rooted in their own perspective and truth. You should read the book to see what happens from there! You won’t be disappointed. However, taking that into consideration. Where do we need a brave, rule-bound “duel” inside our teams so we can grow and accelerate? What are the ground rules? Who initiates? Who do we do this without killing each other.
1. I love this quote on page 85:
