A chilly morning greeted the PAX, and YHC had a fun game with a life lesson embedded. PAX got busy right away with…
A little mosey to warm PAX in the cold morning. PAX circled up for:
SSH – 30x IC
Copperhead Squats – 10x IC
Abe Vagoda – 10x IC
Sun Gods – forward 10x IC; backwards 10x IC
Mosey back to the flag where we huddled to hear the rules of The Thang
6 Cones were spread out in a rectangle on the basketball court. Each cone was a different exercise:
1 – 20 Merkins; 2 – 20 Squats; 3 – 10 BBSU; 4 – 20 Shoulder Taps; 5 – 20 Lunges; 6 – 10 Leg Levers
Goose reps are 5 more than everyone else (25, 25, 15, 25, 25, 15).
PAX would rotate as the goose, who led off. PAX held plank off to the side while goose would complete 25 merkins. As soon as he finished and started running towards cone #2, PAX ran to cone #1 and the chase was on! If Goose completed course before being caught, PAX owed burpees to Goose (# up to Goose). If PAX caught Goose, everyone complete course with no penalty. Rotate Goose and repeat.
After 4 rounds, each Goose was caught. Second set was modified for PAX reps increased by 2 (22, 22, 12, 22, 22, 12). Goose was still caught in all rounds.*
Freddie Mercuries – IC x 10
American Hammers – IC x 20
It was an honor leading PAX today. A lot of times we find ourselves chasing something. And once we catch it, there’s no gratitude. There is only another chase. This workout was fun, but in life that constant chase can be a grind. It is important to look to your left/right and lean on someone you trust.
Naked Man Moleskin:
*Forest Gump damn near beat PAX. But YHC started leg levers before Gump stood up…that’s our story and we’re sticking to it!!
