If you are looking for a workout in Northern Colorado, you have come to the right spot. We have our locations (AOs) listed below. If you have trouble viewing, try the link below the map that pulls it up in FULL SCREEN mode (especially on mobile devices). Also, please see the information below the interactive map for specifics about the workouts in our region.

Boot Camp: This is the basic, Pearls on a String F3 workout — a mix of running and set pieces involving body-weight exercises. Running segments don’t generally go for longer than a quarter-mile at a single stretch.

CORE: A Boot Camp workout with minimal running. Often targeted at those coming off IR or with running-related injuries or conditions that require little running.

Run with Pain Stations: A run with Boot Camp exercises mixed in at regular intervals. Run segments generally of a half-mile or more.

Cycling: Notes can specify targeted pace, whether drop or no-drop, etc.

Run: Any group, steady state run. Notes can be used to specify pace, whether course is pavement or trail, whether route is set or not, etc.

Speed/Strength Running: Run workout with track, hill or other speed intervals. Notes can specify pace, structure, etc.

Swimming

Gear: Any workout that requires or involves gear. Notes can specify type of gear used and whether participants need to BYO.

Obstacle Training: Workout that focuses on preparation for OCR.

Ruck: Notes can specify pace, whether course is set or determined by Q, weight targets, whether pain stations are involved, etc.

Strength/Conditioning/Tabata/WIB: Workout structured around High Intensity Interval Training or AMRAP (As Many Reps As Possible).

Mobility/Stretch

Wild Card: Anything that’s an outlier or doesn’t fit into the above categories. Ultimate Frisbee, pickup basketball or flag football, etc.

OUR LOCATIONS (AOs)

F3 Fort Collins Co currently has 4 workout locations. We call these AOs. Each AO has a set location and type of workout that makes it a unique AO. See the the descriptions on the right (or below on mobile device). When showing up to any of the locations, look for a shovel in the ground with an American Flag flying from it, we call it simply enough “the shovel flag”.

Day: MONDAY 

Time: 5:30am

Type of Workout: Trail Run

Location: Spring Canyon Park, 3156 S Overland Trail, Fort Collins, CO 80526

**Note: Best location to find the shovel flag is the Veteran Plaza at the park. Park near there and you will see the other PAX start to assemble. 

 

Day: WEDNESDAY 

Time: 5:30am

Type of Workout: BOOTCAMP

Location: Rolland Moore Park, 2201 S Shields St, Fort Collins, CO 80526

**Note: Best location to find the shovel flag is by the basketball courts right when you enter the park on the east side. 

 

Day: FRIDAY 

Time: 5:30am

Type of Workout: RUCK

Location: Spring Canyon Park, 3156 S Overland Trail, Fort Collins, CO 80526

**Note: Best location to find the shovel flag is the Veteran Plaza at the park. Park near there and you will see the other PAX start to assemble. 

 

Day: SATURDAY 

Time: Workout starts at 6 am / 5:30am for an Extra Credit (EC) Ruck

Type of Workout: Bootcamp

Location: Twin Silo Park, 5552-5564 Ziegler Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80528

**Note: Best location to find the shovel flag is directly south of the silos in playground on the south side of that parking lot. 

 

  • Boot Camp: This is the basic, Pearls on a String F3 workout — a mix of running and set pieces involving body-weight exercises. Running segments don’t generally go for longer than a quarter-mile at a single stretch.
  • Trail Run: Any group, steady state run. Our runs will typically be a trail run in the foothills at Spring Canyon Park unless weather restricts access to the trails and we will use the park and other designated routes. 
  •  Ruck: This is a steady pace walk with a weighted backpack (aka ruck) carried on your back. The leader of the workout will specify the route and pace and may add in other exercises along the route.
